Our main objective is to raise money for the neighboring YMCA’s, who service the community in which we work.

An important goal for our Volunteers is to assist in providing the players with a memorable first-class golf experience, while raising funds for the YMCA. A successful golf tournament also depends on the quality of service provided by the Volunteers, who play are a vital part role in a golf tournament.

As a volunteer, you will be expected to bring your wonderful fantastic personality to make this enjoyable and pleasant day of golf. We need flexible and organized individuals whom we can count on. We need committed Volunteers who may need to handle task and assignments before, after, during the golf tournament.

As a committed Volunteer, you will be expected to:

  • Attend two (2) Volunteers’ meetings/trainings
    1. Briefing to review “Day of Play”, and Available Assignments
    2. Training on Assignments, and understanding the importance of your role/task and how to be effective
  • Obtain supervisor/management approval
  • And lastly, Have Fun!!!

To be a Volunteer, experience in golfing is not a requirement; we need people who are willing to make this event a success by giving their best; again, you will be trained on your assigned task/role.

Here’s just a few of the task/assignments that will be required for this tournament:

  • Greeters (directing participants and answering questions)
  • Hole Volunteers stationed at a hole during game of play.
  • Registration process organizing and executing the registration process, and
  • Selling Raffle Tickets
  • Putting goodie bags together
  • Assist with the Awards/Raffle Gift

Volunteers will receive a rewarding experience knowing they contributed the best to help in raising funds for the tournament. Volunteers will also be provided:

  • Breakfast/Lunch and water during day of golf, and
  • T-Shirt to wear the day of the event!

There are a limited number of spots and we will recruit on a first come, first serve basis. We will develop a waiting list depending on the responses, level of commitment and availability of those whom have signed up.
